Head of Contingent (Scouts Canada)
Ethan M. Coudenys (they/he)
Ethan is the Head of Contingent for Scouts Canada. They have been a member of Scouting for 17 years, and have participated in many international events, including attending the Coronation. They love camping, hiking, writing and reading.
Head of Contingent (Association des scouts du Canada)
David Poulliot (he/him)
David is the Head of Delegation for l'Association des Scouts du Canada (ASC). He has been involved in Scouting for 15 years and attended two World Jamborees. He loves to travel and discover new cultures, and look forward to sharing this passion with fellow Scouts from Canada and beyond.
Communications and Graphics
Cadence James (she/her)
Cadence is a member of the Communications Team. She has been a member of Scouting for 13 years now, with the 23rd Nepean in Ottawa and now as the Council Youth Commissioner for Voyageur Council. After attending the World Scout Jamboree in Korea this past summer, she is excited to take on this new adventure at the upcoming Moot. Outside of Scouting, Cadence enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and figure skating. See you in Portugal!
Communications and Graphics
Rubene De Sousa (he/him)
Rubene De Sousa has been a Scouter in Greater Toronto Council for over 35 years and a member of Scouts Canada since his Scout youth days in 1982. He is a member of the National Communications Functional Team and he is currently a scouter with the 78th Toronto Scout group. Professionally, Rubene is an internationally awarded designer. For over 25 years, he has worked at Canada's top ad agencies working on award winning creative for Apple, Nissan, and CIBC to name a few.
Health and Safety
Maria Elisa Aparicio (she/her)
My name is Maria, I'm part of the health and safety team and I am eager to embark on this adventure with the contingent. I've been to 4 World Scout Jamboree's and this will be my first Moot! See you all in Portugal.
International Service Team Coordination
Derek Lawday (he/him)
Derek started Scouting as a youth member in Cardiff South Wales. After emigrating to Canada, he had continued his involvement in Belleville, Toronto, Dartmouth and Calgary. After a hiatus he rejoined the movement in North Bay where he currently resides. His current roles include Group Support and Rover advisor. Derek has attended CJ’s, World Jamboree in West Virginia and was part of the CMT for FinJam. He is currently involved with various training and support activities. He is looking forward to share this experience with his son.
Contingent Kit Coordinator
Brian Vrouvas (he/him)
Brian has been a member of Scouts Canada for the past 35 years, with 17 of those as a leader. He had been involved in Scouting in Montreal, Welland, Alberta, Texas and now in North Bay. Brian has been a member of OOS for CJ '07, attended the Swiss National Jamboree in 2008, was an IST for WJ '11 & '23 as well as the World Scout Moot in 2017. This is Brian's first time as a CMT and he is excited to help make this Moot the best it can be for Canadians!
Co-Registrar
George Christian (he/him)
I have been a member of Scouts Canada for over 30 years; holding many roles throughout that time; Venturer and Rover Scouter, Trainer, Area Commissioner and Council Commissioner. I have attended 6 Canadian Jamborees, 2 World Jamborees and the World Rover Moot in 2013. Most of my Scouting has been in Central Escarpment but am now in Battlefields.
I am looking forward to the Moot in Portugal, and as being the co-Registrar for the Canadian Contingent.

Paula Kieley (she/her)
I am graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland business administrative program as well as a Notary Public in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and have more than 30 years of executive management experience.
I have been a registered member of Scouting since 2010 and prior to that I was a registered member of Girl Guides of Canada for 20 years. I am also a register leader with the Duke of Edinburgh program for 13 years. I joined the 1st Topsail Cub Pack with my son when he became a Cub and have been actively involved in Scouting ever since. I strongly believe in the principles and values of Scouting and what it offers to youth throughout the world. I have held various roles in Scouting including Scouter for Cubs, Scouts, Venture, and Rovers. I have been involved in planning programs and camps at the local, provincial, inter-provincial, national, and international jamborees throughout my Scouting tenure. I have also served as Newfoundland and Labradors representative on the National Voting Representative, and I am proud to be a mentor to other Scouters in Newfoundland and Labrador.
I have a love of nature and I enjoy outdoor adventures whether that be camping (year-round), hiking, canoeing, cooking skills and spending time with youth and Scouters with likeminded values
Treasurer and Administrative Support
Susie James (she/her)
The Treasurer handles all of the banking and financial portions of the Contingent team. They help with banking and sponsorships.
